Curtis Reminder Obituary
Curtis passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region surrounded by his family at the age of 55 years. He was born in Bay City on December 10, 1965 to Robert and Lois (Sahr) Reminder. On April 20, 1991 he married the former Ruth Macomber in Bay City and they were married for 30 years. Curtis was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and worked for Nexteer Automotive. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, bowling and golfing. He was also an avid Detroit Red Wings, Lions and Michigan State fan.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Elaina (Justin) Hughes, Kevin (Karlie Kukla) and Michael (Indee Winchell) Reminder; grandchildren, Zoey, Maci and Kade Hughes; mother, Lois Reminder; father, Robert (Judy) Reminder; brothers, Robert (Renee), Barry (Carol) and Mark (Kimberly) Reminder; sister, Susan (Charles) Dault; mother-in-law, Sally Macomber; brothers-in-law, Matt (Dr. Catherine) and Mark Macomber and many nieces and nephews. Curtis was preceded in death by his brother, Michael and father-in-law, Jim Macomber.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at Our Lady of Peace Parish at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge. Friends and family may visit at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Kind, easy to talk to, sports lover and Friend we will miss you. We will cherish the times we fished together, played cards, family gatherings and even watching the fireworks together this past July. Memories of cheering on our hockey kids (even though they were on different teams) will be cherished by us forever.
