David 'Dave' E. Meiers, 82, Luxemburg, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at St Vincent Hospital on the evening of December 3, 2020.
David was born June 20, 1938 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Elmer B. and Mary C. (Lenss) Meiers. He graduated from Central Catholic - Premontre High School in 1956. After completing two years of financial classes at NWTC, he worked at Wisconsin Finance as a Credit/Collections manager where he met his lovely wife Lil. From there, he went on to open his own company, Maintenance Engineering, Inc. in Green Bay, Wisconsin, which became one of the largest commercial janitorial companies in Northeastern Wisconsin. In addition to his 'Maids' franchises – Dave, at one point, employed nearly 400 people in four different states. As his health deteriorated over the years – especially his severe arthritis - he sold those businesses and went on to work in real estate with Caldwell Realty where he retired in 2012.
Dave grew up an avid sportsman - enjoying hunting, fishing, and skiing with his family and life-long friends. Later in life his main joy came from sailing on the weekends in Green Bay with his wife and two children. In addition, Dave was a passionate reader and firmly committed to self-reliance.
Dave is survived by his wife, Lil, Luxemburg, WI; his son Michael, CA; two grandchildren Madeline and Joseph; his sister Diane (Ken) Cook, Green Bay; his brother Jay Meiers, Green Bay and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Patrick (2019); his parents Elmer (1976) and Mary (2009), and his brothers Jim (Tooie) Meiers (1988) and Jesse Meiers (2005).

I worked for the maids for many years Lil and Dave were by far the nicest people I ever worked for. I remember Dave's love for his family and of course his Porsche. He was a fun loving man who would do anything for you. Im sad that I couldn't be there today, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.Love and hugs to Lil and Mike. I will see you both soon.

Dave had that special laugh that said life is full of adventures. Adventures he had, according to Fritz, with camera and a fake press badge,he took Fritz on many adventures. Then to his dark room to develop his pictures,I think he enjoyed the challenged of being someone he wasn't and taking his pictures. I will always remember his laughter!
He loved to jitterbug, his arms flying, he was good!
Good bye Dave, Make sure you have your camera for your next adventure.
Miss your laughter!
