Edward Wayne Summers

1945 - 2019

Edward Wayne Summers, 74 of Waverly Hall, GA, formerly of Washington State passed away, November 16, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Summers was born September 14, 1945 in Kearns, Utah the son of Wayne Edward Summers and Elizabeth Ann Tow Summers. Before his retirement, he was a Corporate Project Manager with Columbus Regional Healthcare, Columbus, GA. Mr. Summers enjoyed many activities during his lifetime, his favorites were snow skiing, and cycling. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  Mr. Summers loved his family, being a proud father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Edward Summers and infant sister.

He is survived by his daughter Chayne Summers Oates, her husband David Oates, and grandson Parker Oates all of Richland, WA; mother Elizabeth Ann Tow Summers of Kirkland, WA; brothers Jerry Summers of Loon Lake, WA and Ray Summers of Lucca, Italy; sister Lonnie Burchardt of Manchester, MO; and other extended family and friends. 

Private memorial services are being held for Mr. Summers and the family wishes that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Humane Society of Harris County.
