Flossie M. Greer

1930 - 2016

East Rochester, NH: Flossie Greer died peacefully on March 24, 2016 at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH. She was born on November 7, 1930, the daughter of Ward and Mary McIntrye. She lived in Syracuse, NY for many years. Flossie retired from McMillan Book Company after 35 years of loyal service. After retiring, she moved to Virginia and then to New Hampshire.


She is survived by her beloved son, Michael Greer, her dear daughter Gail Randon, her daughter in law Karen Greer and son-in-law Phil Randon. Flossie's other two children, Timothy McKenna and Nancy Verillo preceded her in death. Flossie was also adored and loved by her eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.


Flossie's greatest joy was her family. She traveled around the country to see her many grandchildren get married, graduate from high school and college and was present at many baby showers. Her apartment was filled with pictures of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always thrilled to get the latest pictures, cards and letters.


A funeral service will be held at St. Martin's Church in Somersworth, NH at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 followed by placement in the columbarium in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Somersworth. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Cornerstone VNA & Hospice, 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867.
