Francis Hebert Obituary
Francis "Red" Hebert, 91, of 300 Bridgewater Ave # 227, Chippewa Falls, died on Tuesday, April 7th, 2015 at the Rutledge Home under the care of St Joseph's hospice.
"Red" was born April 22, 1923 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Charles and Exilda (LeDuc) Hebert.
On August 10, 1943, "Red" married Mary Ann Boos at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.  Francis farmed all his life in Tilden and Wheaton townships in Chippewa Falls before he and Mary Ann moved to the Chippewa Manor Retirement Center in 2005 and later to the Rutledge Home Assisted Living facility.
"Red" was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974, Farm Bureau, and Notre Dame Catholic Church. 
"Red" loved collecting old tractors and had accumulated over 50 vintage tractors that were in various stages of restoration. Many of those were fully functional when he retired to the Chippewa Manor. He also enjoyed having toy versions of some of his favorite tractors and proudly displayed them all over the house. 
He is survived by his two sons, Frank (JoAnn) Hebert of Superior and Edward (Kathy Meade) Hebert of Chippewa Falls, one daughter, Kathryn Ann Shefland of Roseville, Minn.; two sisters, Lucille Hendrickson and Dorothy Hebert both of St Cloud, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (Boos) of 71 years; his parents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 13 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. 
 Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 12 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Notre Dame Church. There will be a Christian vigil service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
