Ignacio Barrera, Jr.

1938 - 2023

Ignacio Barrera, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, went to Heaven to be with our Lord on June 28, 2023 in Houston, Tx. He was 84. Ignacio was born in Los Guerra, Tamaulipas, Mexico on July 9, 1938 to Ignacio and Ofelia Barrera.

Ignacio was a loving husband and father and is survived by his lovely wife, Lidia Barrera, they had five children. He was proceeded by his oldest son Ignacio Barrera(+) and survived by his remaining children Ninfa (Mario) Cavazos, Lidia Barrera, Ignacio (Patricia) Barrera III, and Maria Alicia (Daniel) Saenz. Ignacio was an exceptional and dedicated husband and father. He loved, guided, and supported his family throughout their lives, leaving a legacy of strength and devotion.

Ignacio extended his love, guidance, and support to all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. To him each and one of his grandchildren were special. He was proceeded by one grandson Daniel Saenz, Jr. and is survived by Janett Akerman, Melissa Cavazos, Mario Cavazos, Jr., Cristobal Garcia, Jr., Christian Garcia, Craig Garcia, Ashley Barrera, Kaitlyn Barrera, Stephen Barrera, and Sofia Saenz. Ignacio is also survived by five beautiful great grandchildren Ashton Garcia, Adan Cavazos, Julia Akerman, Ruben Salinas, and Isabella Garcia.

He is survived by his siblings Amelia Guerra, Francisca Lopez, and Robey Barrera. Ignacio was proceeded by sibilings that he had fond memories of Javier Barrera, Juaquina Barrera, Javier Barrera, Mauro Barrera, Gilberto Barrera, Ofelia Gonzalez, and Heriberto Barrera.

Ignacio will be greatly missed and remembered by all his family, friends, and all that knew him. He will be remembered for his family dedication, love, charisma, devotion, guidance, and strength. He definetly touched many lives during his journey on Earth.

In honor of Ignacio, a visitation will be held on Sunday, July 2nd from 5 pm to 9 pm and services will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 2 pm. Burial to follow at Klein Memorial Park Cemetary in Pinehurst, Tx at 3:30.

Rest in Paradise dear Ignacio. You will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.

 

Ignacio Barrera, Jr., amado esposo, padre, abuelo y bisabuelo, fue al cielo para estar con nuestro Señor el 28 de junio de 2023 en Houston, Tx. Tenía 84 años. Ignacio era hijo de Ignacio y Ofelia Barrera nacido en Los Guerra, Tamaulipas, México el 9 de julio de 1938.

Ignacio fue un esposo y padre amoroso y le sobrevive su querida esposa, Lidia Barrera, ellos tuvieron cinco hijos. Le precedió su hijo mayor Ignacio Barrera(+) y le sobreviven sus hijos  Ninfa (Mario) Cavazos, Lidia Barrera, Ignacio (Patricia) Barrera III y María Alicia (Daniel) Sáenz. Ignacio fue un esposo y padre excepcional y dedicado. Amó, guió y apoyó a su familia durante toda su vida, dejando un legado de fortaleza y devoción.

Ignacio extendió su amor, guía y apoyo a todos sus nietos y bisnietos. Para él cada uno de sus nietos eran especiales. Fue precedido por su nieto Daniel Saenz, Jr. y le sobreviven Janett Akerman, Melissa Cavazos, Mario Cavazos, Jr., Cristobal Garcia, Jr., Christian Garcia, Craig Garcia, Ashley Barrera, Kaitlyn Barrera, Stephen Barrera y Sofia Sáenz. A Ignacio también le sobreviven cinco hermosos bisnietos Ashton Garcia, Adan Cavazos, Julia Akerman, Ruben Salinas e Isabella Garcia.

Le sobreviven sus hermanos Amelia Guerra, Francisca López y Robey Barrera. Ignacio fue precedido por hermanos que tenía gratos recuerdos de Javier Barrera, Juaquina Barrera, Javier Barrera, Mauro Barrera, Gilberto Barrera, Ofelia González y Heriberto Barrera.

Ignacio será muy extrañado y recordado por toda su familia, amigos y todos los que lo conocieron. Será recordado por su dedicación a su familia, amor, carisma, devoción, guía y fortaleza. Definitivamente tocó muchas vidas durante su viaje aquí en el mundo.

En honor a Ignacio, el velorio se realizará el domingo 2 de julio de 5:00 pm a 9:00 pm y el servicio será el lunes 3 de julio a las 2:00 pm. El sepelio seguirá en el cementerio Klein Memorial Park en Pinehurst, Tx a las 3:30 pm.

Descansa en el paraíso querido Ignacio. Te extrañaremos profundamente pero siempre estarás en nuestros corazones.
