Joan Hilda Kamyk

1928 - 2020

Age 91, of Lawrenceville, originally Troy Hill, on Monday, April 27, 2020, peacefully passed away of natural causes. Beloved wife of the late Mearl Kamyk, Sr. Wonderful mother of Barbara (Bill Henrich) Kamyk, Theresa (Mike) Boruta, Mearl (Diana) Kamyk, Jr. and David (Betty) Kamyk. Devoted grandmother of Magdelaina (Tim) Boruta-Paules, Michael (Shontay) Boruta, Devin, Lukas, Kevin and Nicole Kamyk. Great-Grandmother of Cayden and Willow. Joan, a member of Holy Spirit Parish (formally St. James Church) and a resident of the Villa Maria Apartments in New Castle where she resided for the past 5 years. Joan, affectionately called "Mom" by all her extended family, was a shark at card games, enjoyed amusement parks, picnicking, puzzles, swimming and beach vacations. Joan had a great sense of humor and enjoyed practical jokes. Her homemade chicken soup, pecan pie, apple pie and poppy seed cake were notorious. She is loved and deeply missed by her family and friends. Visitation and Funeral Service private due to the current COVID-19 situation.
