John J. DelSasso Jr., 49, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at his home in Waterbury.
John was born in Waterbury on February 28, 1971, son of the late John J. DelSasso Sr. and Teresa DelSasso of Waterbury. John was a graduate of Wilby High School and had a passion for cars, especially working on them. From a young age, John loved to take things apart and put them back together. He was a quiet man and a devoted friend to many. John loved going to the beach, especially laying out in the sun to get a tan. John always enjoyed a good meal adored his beloved dog, Bella.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Teresa DelSasso and her significant other, Ray Baumann of Waterbury, his brother, Arthur DelSasso and his wife Stacey of Coventry, Rhode Island, his sister, Darlene Berardi and her husband Anthony of Waterbuy and his four nieces and nephews, Katie, Olivia, Zachary and Tyler.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Waterbury. A burial of cremains will then follow at All Saints Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Everyone is kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, has been entrusted with handling John’s funeral arrangements.
