John A. Rehm, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Jefferson Bucks Hospital at the age of 75.
Born in Philadelphia to the late Paul E. and Rose Mary (Twohig) Rehm, John was raised in Philadelphia and moved to Levittown in 1976.
John graduated from Father Judge High School, Class of 1962. He served with the US Army in Vietnam as a Military Policeman. After the war, he met and married Theresa (Miller) and they started their love story. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this month.
John was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, a silly songwriter, an amateur comedian, and a really bad golfer. Some of his favorite times were watching his grandchildren’s sports and activities, travelling with friends and family, and watching football on Sundays. He was a loyal Eagles fan. His biggest wish finally came true when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who made family his top priority. People say he was larger than life. His outgoing and funny nature made it easy for him to make friends everywhere he went.
John was a hardworking man, who spent the last 17 years of his accounting career at Liberty Industrial Gas in Brooklyn, NY. After retiring, he worked as a part time security guard for Pennsbury School District, where he enjoyed getting to know the students he cared for.
He is survived by his loving wife Theresa (Terri), daughters Carolyn (Fred) Erdelji, Judy (Sam) Jamison, and Debbie (Don) Massari. He was a loving Pop-Pop to his grandchildren Elizabeth, Sarah, Ethan, Sydney, Jules, and Maddie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul and sister Julia (Judy) Rush. He is survived by his brother George (Kathy) Rehm, and sisters Rosemary (James Doyle) Rehm and Paula Sykes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Services and interment will be held at a later date.

John came into my life more than half a century ago when John and my friend Terri began to date. He was above all a family man. He was smart, funny and caring. Will miss the way he would answer the telephone with humor. Will miss his comments on Facebook. Will miss John.

I had the good fortune to have worked with John in the security force at Pennsbury. There was not one security guard that did not look forward to working with John. John was a gentle giant who loved working with children and their parents. I assigned John to many problem areas in the district and was amazed that the problems immediately went away. He was respected by everyone he came into contact with and I will miss him dearly

To all those that loved John Rehm. I was so astounded to learn of his passing on the internet as I'm still in Arizona. We met only a few times, but I was impressed by his respectfullness of everyone in his presence. Remembering the wonderful dinner at a restaurant that you, Terri and John had taken Uncle Paul & me to along with your mother, Mary & Sal when we had visited in the Philadelphia area. When the Lord calls our loved ones home, He leaves a gift of memories in exchange that can never be erased. You're all in my thoughts every step of the way. May Angels of Heaven comfort & walk with you today & always! Always in God's Strength! Aunt "Dolly" Meyer

I am the grandson of Robert and Dee Vaughn, dear friends of John and Terri. John lit up every room he walked into and treated you kindly.... after making a few good jokes along the way. In my interactions with him, he always made me laugh. The larger than life concept hits the nail on the head. May John rest in eternal loving peace. Thank you for being a friend to me and my family. Prayers to your family during this difficult time.

I am so sad to see that this great guy has passed away!!! I know he has a big waiting party in heaven with all the people he has gotten to know in his lifetime. My Grandma being one of them. I will always remember him and his wife as almost a second set of parents. They looked out for us as much as their own kids whenever we played together. He was so kind and always had a smile on his face. I am praying for the family of Mr. Rehm and hope they all know how much he will be missed not only by them but by others he has been so kind to.
