Lillian C. Lesker, nee Cast, 88, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 5, 1920 in Mascoutah, IL, died Wednesday, Mar. 18, 2009 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Lillian was a retired secretary and bookkeeper from the Mascoutah School District 19 after 35 years of service. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah; St. John Everfaithful Guild; Eastern Star; Mascoutah Post 7682 VFW Auxiliary; and the Mascoutah Senior Citizens.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marcel Schrempp on Jan. 2, 1958; her second husband, Russell Lesker on Dec. 21, 1986; parents, Edmund and Mary, nee Ott, Cast; and a sister, Augusta Barttelbort.


She is survived by two sisters, Viola Engler of Belleville, IL, and Margie Morse of Mascoutah, IL; nieces and nephews, Lynn (Andy) Cunningham, Larry (Sue) Barttelbort, Ron Engler, Susan (Paul) Sutherland, Glenn (Lois) Morse, and Andrea (James) Tobiasz; several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.


Memorials may be made to Family Hospice of Belleville.


Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Mar. 20, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, Mar. 21, 2009 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah with Rev. Joseph Feldmann officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
