Lorin Davis Obituary
Lorin Delbert Davis, age 86, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri.  He was born near Fristoe, Missouri, on April 14, 1929, the son of John Lorin and Lillian Greer Davis.  
He grew up on a farm near Fristoe and helped with all of the farm work. He loved to be outdoors working and hunting.  In July of 1951, he was inducted into the United States Army.  He served in the Korean War and was proud of his military service.  He returned to the Warsaw area after his discharge.
Delbert was a mechanic and woodcutter.  For many years he was a dump truck driver for Hilty  Quarries.
On October 19, 1970, he was united in marriage to Beverly Manning in Warsaw. They made their home in Warsaw and she preceded him in death. 
He was a member of American Legion Post#217 of Warsaw and served many years on the Honor Guard.  He was also a member of the VFW Post in Warsaw.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Maureen Day and a brother, Eugene Sidwell.  
He is survived by a daughter, Vickie Stewart, and her husband, John, of LaMonte, Missouri, a son, Richard Shields, and his wife, Jeanne, of Ventura, California, two grandchildren, Russell Stewart, and his wife, Jaime, and Kerry Breshears, and her husband, Shaun, three great-grandchildren, Jessica Stewart, Gage Stewart, and Kelsey Green, other relatives and friends.  
Graveside Services with Military Honors for Delbert Davis will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Fredonia Cemetery near Warsaw.  Arrangements under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.
