Margaret Garrison Hauser
Margaret Garrison Hauser, 89, of 809 John D. Barry Drive, Wilmington, NC passed away on October 6, 2012.
She was born March 27, 1923 in Davidson County, in the Abbotts Creek Community, the daughter of the late Hobart McKinley and Mary Sullivan Garrison. She was a 1940 graduate of Wallburg High School and attended Jones Business College in High Point, where she worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years. She was a resident of the Abbotts Creek Community most of her life. She married Lawrence W. Hauser on Sept. 16, 1944, who preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Carolyn Hauser Boyles in 1988 and a sister Darlene G. Carver in 1963.
Surviving are one son, Larry J. Hauser and his wife LaDonna of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren, Tamara Boyles Myers of Greensboro, NC; Josh Boyles and his wife Becky of Chapel Hill, NC; Catherine Hauser of Little River, SC; Diana Hauser of Raleigh, NC; and Patrick Hauser of Holly Ridge, NC; a brother, Bill Garrison and his wife Lucille Garrison of Davidson County; and four great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held on October 19 at 11:00 AM at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 2817 Abbotts Creek Church Road, High Point, NC 27265.
