Marion and her husband spent the next fifteen years travelling the country and wintering in Florida. After Roland's death in 2001, she continued living in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and her condo in West Warwick.  Her later years were spent at Brookdale Senior Living in Coventry and Peacedale.

At various times during her life, Marion served as president of the RI School Nurse Teachers Association and president of the Lucy C. Ayers Residence for Nurses. She also served as president of the Inner Circle of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Greenwich and president of its church council.

Marion Lundin is survived by her son Richard, daughter-in-law Susanne and granddaughter Erika, all of Hopkinton, RI; also her sister Martha Safstrom of Brooklyn, Connecticut, sister-in-law Ruth Lundin of Warwick, and several nieces and nephews living around the country.

She was a good friend that I met in Florida. We had many wonderful visits & enjoyed playing bingo together at the Brannon Center New Smyrna Beach Florida. I only wish I had known of her passing before now. Loved her spirit & sense of humor. Nathalie Yager

Just saw that we recently lost Marion. I served with Marion on Church Council during the early 1990s. Marion was a sweet bright light, a strong woman, and a mentor. She is missed. Condolences to her family.
