Paul Masters Obituary

Paul A. Masters, May 13, 2015, entered into eternal rest in Calabash, NC. Beloved husband, father and grandfather ("Poppy").

He is survived by devoted wife Patricia Masters, daughter Kelly A. Masters, son Phillip A. (Susan) Masters, grandchildren Phillip J. Masters, Saraphina Masters, Samantha Marrero, Ross Masters, and Nathan Masters as well as great grandson CJ Marrero. Also by brother Richard (Brenda) Masters as well as extended family and friends.

Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Phillip and Josephine Masters and brother of the late Judith Masters.

He served seven years in the US Navy, working on an aircraft carrier, as both electrician and barber. He enjoyed becoming a champion skeet shooter and premier charter boat captain in starting Blue Wave Fishing Charters, featured in national fishing magazines as part of the Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association. After moving to Rochester, NY, he enjoyed restoring and showing his vintage Corvair, shooting bow and showing dogs. He was successful showing Kerry Blue terriers across the United States and Canada and served on the board of directors for the Kerry Blue Terrier Club and assisted with the grooming and rescue of many canine friends. Recently retired to Calabash, NC, he enjoyed both sunshine and salt water fishing.

He was lovingly cared for by his wife Patricia during his many illnesses and will be carried forever in the hearts of his entire family. Memorial service to be held in Rochester, NY.

Pat,
So sorry to hear of Pauls passing. I have thought of both of you so often wondering how your doing. I lost mom in Feb. So no more dog show partner for me.

Paul, you were a great friend when we worked together, did lunches most every day at GLP, always enjoyed meeting up with you and Pat at the car shows and you will be sadly missed. We still have our Corvair but now it is a 1963! So enjoyed your friendship and memories.

Paul I didn't know you for very long but as a member of our fishing club, the time I did know you I enjoyed talking to you about fishing here in North Myrtle Beach. R.I.P.
