Paula Winter Obituary

Paula Wetzel Winter passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, June 27th. Paula lived a vibrant and full life as a faithful wife, mother, friend and follower of Jesus Christ. She was born on September 23rd, 1964 in Lexington, KY. Received her Bachelors degree in Education from Asbury College and her Masters degree, with an emphasis as a reading specialist, from Western Kentucky University. She spent 10 years in elementary education with a special love for first graders. After teaching Paula spent the rest of her years pouring into her own children. Everyone who knew Paula knew that she had a deep love for Jesus. Her commitment to follow Him started at age eight and was evidenced in everything that she did. Her commitment to Christ was lived out most passionately in the way she loved her family. Always supportive and encouraging to her husband Eric. Fully engaged in every aspect of her children's lives with great devotion and love.

She is survived by her husband Eric; children Kyle, Abigale and Tanya; parents Gale and Nancy Wetzel; brother Owen Wetzel; uncle James Bennett Wetzel; aunt Marlene Ashby; Sister in laws Madeleine, Vera and Paula Winter; 5 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 step niece. She is deeply missed by us all.

A memorial service will be held at K2 the Church at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1st. K2 is located at 2100 South 193 West in Salt Lake City, UT. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to one of two options that were very important to Paula. 1) K2 the Church, P.O. Box 521138, Salt Lake City, UT 84152-1138 or 2) Scholarship funds for Kyle, Abbie and Tanya. This can be sent directly to Eric Winter at 1780 Sunrise Park Circle, Sandy, UT 84093

A special thanks to the large number of friends who spent endless hours with Paula during the last weeks of her life. And her doctor, who countless times went out of her way to help in any way possible.

My prayers and sympathy go out to Eric, their children, and the rest of the family.
I knew Paula & Eric back in Michigan at Kensington Community Church. She was a woman who loved God and ladies in our bible study as much as I did.
I will miss her.
Peace and blessings to you all.
