Raisa, born and raised in Brest, Belarus (former Soviet Union), passed away on May 12, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved sister of Liza Margolin and Lev Klebanov. Dear aunt to Julia Richardson and Elena Ageeva. Much loved great aunt to Valerie and Kathryn, dear cousin and friend.
Raisa got her degree in Foreign Languages University in Minsk, Belarus. She was fluent in several languages and worked in the Hospitality industry for many years, leading one of the most popular restaurants in the city of Brest. After coming to the United States in 1993 where she would eventually become a citizen, she enjoyed travel, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She was well regarded and respected among her community and colleagues.
She was loved and will be missed and will live in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
