Robert Workman Obituary
He was born in Hillsboro, on October 22, 1980, the son of Robert D. and Patricia L. (Harper)Workman of Hillsboro.
Rob was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and received an associate degree. He was the director of Food and Beverage at the Hilton Garden Inn in Miamisburg, OH.
Besides his parents, Rob is survived by his wife Caitlin Elizabeth (Glassmeyer) Workman, son Gavin Patrick Workman, daughter Hailey Elizabeth Workman, sister Tonya Workman of Hillsboro and brother and sister-in-law Donald L. and Tiffany Kessinger, Jr of Bluemont, VA.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ, 155 West Walnut St. Hillsboro, OH 45133.
Friends may call at the church from 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Saturday.
Family request memorials to the Gavin and Hailey Workman Education Fund made payable to Caitlin Workman and deposit at any First Financial Bank.
Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

I can believe it's almost been four years already since my dad left my live. He's missed so much over these last couple years, But I know he's in a better place. He was my rock, my coach and most importantly my best friend. I never wrote one of these till now because I was to scared too. It's sad to think that he was the one that taught me to hit a ball, but he didn't get to see me make it to club softball. My dad was he best dad you could ask for.

To all in the Workman family, you have my most heartfelt prayers. I worked with Rob at the Hilton Garden Inn, and he was always a generous, funny, caring man, with great creativity. He was a pleasure to be around at all times. I pray that you find comfort in the fact that he is now in God's arms.

Dearest Workman Family;
It saddens me to hear of Robbie's passing. Robbie was one of the kindest people I knew in school. I watched him struggle but never give up at anything. I hope the love of family and friends will comfort and strengthen you in the next few day, weeks, and months ahead. May God's peace be with all of you. Cherish the memories that you all made with Robbie. I will always remember him as being a caring and loving soul. Robbie was a wonderful man. He had a smile that could just make you forget your troubles. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. When you speak of Robbie do not speak of him with tears for thoughts of him should not be sad. Let memories of him give you comfort for his life was rich because of you. There are things in life that we don't want to happen but have to accept them, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we don't want to live without but have to let go of. I met Rob when we worked together at Kings Island Resort--such a good friend to me always. We used to go on dinner dates to great restaurants and then bring Caitlin dessert in a doggy bag :) Many home cooked meals at their house, compliments of Rob. I will miss you my friend! You are in my heart, as are Hay and Gav. Love to Caitlin and the kids from Nashville.

Rob was a very special man, I played softball with him since we moved to Cincinnati in 2008. Right away we became friends and great teammates, I can just hear him telling me, "take your time for the next pitch". He will be greatly missed by everyone and especially me as a coach. We will always have happy thoughts of all of our kids playing together at church. There were several kids born that year and it truly was a "baby boom" for such a small congregation.
