I pretty much grew up with the Pulver family living across the street. Troy and I were close and his dad Roy will always be associated with ol' number 17. I know as I kid I would drive Roy nuts. I remember on particular time when Troy and i were playing around the garage where Roy was working on a race car. We found some tires and started rolling them around and in no time I had managed to roll one right into the street in front of an on-coming car. Of course the car hit the tire and Roy cam flying out of that garage like a grizzly bear pretty much ready to strangle me.

Then there were the weekend rides to Skateland where Roy would tell racing stories as Troy, I and other kids would listen. Over the years I have often though of memories with the Roy Pulver family, Troy, Edith and little Frankie. Hearing of Roy's passing creates a huge void. I know the Pulvers will be telling Roy Pulver stories for ages. There are just too many great memories of Roy Pulver. I know the pain of loss is still with you kids today. I hope that you Pulvers grow to even further embrace the memory of Roy and share those memories.
