To capture the legacy of my grandfather in words is surely an impossible task. He was the greatest man I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. His number one priority was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was also a successful businessman and entrepreneur.

Among his many passions were gardening, cooking Sunday dinners, watching the NY Yankees, playing cards, and reading, especially the newspaper.

According to his high school yearbook, he was a "rival to Astaire" on the dance floor, and also a football letterman.

He taught me many lessons, but a few of my favorites are:
He who laughs last, laughs longest.
If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.
Why is it we get old so soon and smart so late.
If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Pop Pop left a lasting impression on my heart that will never fade. I love you Pop Pop and I will miss you dearly.

Love,
Genelle
