Scot Wayne Feldmeyer, Sr., 67 of Maineville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children on Monday, April 19, 2021. Born to Marvin and Donna (nee Clark) Feldmeyer on July 17, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Scot was a devoted husband and outstanding father. He enjoyed life and spent his free time helping others. He was a 30-year member of the Rotary Club where he volunteered countless hours at charitable events and Rotary outings. Together with his wife, he assembled blessing bags for the homeless and collected food for the local food pantry. He was one of the founding parishioners of Saint Margaret of York Church in Loveland where he served as a Lector, Publicity Director, and Booth Chair at the Parish Festival for many years.
Scot had a long professional career but also found time to coach youth sports and cover high school sports for the Western Star newspaper. He was also an official for OHSAA, covering football, softball and basketball. He volunteered as a BSA Scout Leader for 15 years guiding many to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout including his two sons, Scot Jr. and Adam. Scot was an avid sports fan. As a University of Cincinnati alumnus he enjoyed attending football and basketball games and it brought him great joy to cheer on the Bearcats!
In retirement Scot took a part-time job at the Funny Bone Comedy Club at Liberty Center in the box office where he was well known for singing “Happy Birthday” to a customer as Elvis, Johnny Cash or John Wayne. He loved cracking jokes and making people laugh, and even did a stand-up routine of his own which was well received. His sense of humor and infectious laugh will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Scot was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Donna Feldmeyer.
Scot is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marlene Ann (nee Weisbrod) Feldmeyer, three children, Scot (Jennifer) Feldmeyer, Adam Feldmeyer and Valerie Feldmeyer, six grandchildren, Alex, Lily, Austin, Georgia, Jordin and Jace, four siblings, Dean (Jean) Feldmeyer, Lisa (Duncan) Ross, Brian (Teresa) Feldmeyer and Ben (Gretchen) Feldmeyer. He is also survived by his uncle, Howard (Linda) Clark, two sisters in law, Lyn (Lon) Durbin and Karen (Jim) Dwyer and many well-loved nieces and nephews on both sides of his family.

As many have mentioned his laugh was so contagious and something I will always remember about him! There are so many fond memories that I can recall, including his leadership in scouts, his involvement in sports, coaching Adam and I as the best Kings Schools “Putting on the Hits” contestants ever, hanging at the Feldmeyer house, and many more! His memory will forever live in our hearts and my condolences to the Feldmeyer family.

Scot was a family man who was loved by many. Some of my favorite memories were playing HORSE, 21, etc... at the Feldmeyers house. He could shoot the ball with one hand while holding a beer in the other with his eyes closed. NOTHIN' BUT NET!!! It was fun watching him make lunches for the family with all the animals helping him in the kitchen. He could make a rum sour like no other! He was very welcoming, full of laughter and love. His memories and contagious laughter will live on forever.

Sadness falls on the hearts of all who loved Scot. As a military family who came to town homeless between assignments, he always welcomed the 5 of us and our crazy pets. A big bear hug was the greeting at the door. Scot could tell a good joke and he was great with voice impersonations. Then if you heard him laugh, you would laugh because his was so unique and infectious. There are so many fun family memories we have made with Scot, Marlene, Scoty, Adam and Val through the years. I share the grief of losing this man who loved his family dearly and his community. Your life has influenced many. Love you and miss you.

Scot was a friend for over 50 years, we were high school buds. One of kindest persons I ever knew, he always asked how you were doing and how were the kids. I introduced Scot to Marla in our senior year in high school and the rest is history. Because the Dwyers were a military family we were often visiting Cincinnati to see family and friends and we often stayed with the Feldmeyers, sometimes for weeks as we moved from one post to another. 5 Feldmeyers and 5 Dwyers in the same house, should have been a nut house but it never was because of the hospitality of Scot and Marla and their kids. We always felt at home, our kids loved visiting because uncle Scot helped make the stay fun and memorable. WE have great memories that will continue to live in our hearts forever. WE miss Scot, he was a big part of our lives. And I will miss my Pinochle partner, we were champions of the world and always beat Karen and Marla, which really drove them nuts. I can still hear Scot's laugh as we racked up a victory and listened to the girls complain, sweet victory! And I do have to say that Scot was a great winner! I will miss you Scot, but your legacy continues in our hearts and memories.

While we didn't always agree, we were always friends and always there for each other. Missing Scot is my new default setting.

I can still hear his laugh in my head even though I haven’t heard it in many years. I was at their house many times over the from high school through my mid twenties hanging out with Scot (1 T). There are so many fond memories I have in that household.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. My love to his wife Marlene, and his children, Scot, Adam and Val.
God has another angel that will make the heavens fill with laughter.
