Scott Herterich Obituary
Dover- Scott Lyon Herterich, 30, of Hubbard Road died at his home on Monday September 2, 2018.
Born May 27, 1988 in Portsmouth, the son of William S. and Barbara (Clark) Herterich, he was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and was pursuing a Masters degree at Antioch University in Psychology. He was employed at Applebee’s Restaurant in Epping.
Scott is survived by his parents, Bill and Barbara Herterich of Dover; brother, Reed Herterich and his wife Phoy Chin Tan of Exeter; and sister, Kimberly Herterich and her partner Ted Prisley of Middleton.
A lifelong resident of Dover, Scott enjoyed nature, animals, reading, music, and playing his guitar. Above all, Scott enjoyed meaningful conversations with friends and family. No topic was off limits and humor was always welcome.
Scott touched the hearts of many people throughout his life. He will be dearly missed by all.

Calling hours will be held on Monday September 10, 2018 from 11-12:30 at the Tasker Funeral Home 621 Central Ave Dover, NH. A funeral service will follow at the Funeral Home.

Scott was loved by so many and I was so blessed to know him. His kindness and genuine care for others was a rare and precious gift to the world. Scott was very dear to me. He and I got to know each other quite well in a counseling class at Antioch. I always had a special place for him in my heart and always will. My heart breaks at his passing and I am sending deeply loving thoughts to all who knew him, especially his family. Sad beyond words...

Scott was always such a great friend to me. He was genuine, caring, and generous. He was also one of the most intelligent people I've ever known. He introduced me to Carl Sagan and astronomy. His talents and artistic expressions were an inspiration to me and many others. In our college dorm he hung a still image from his favorite movie Gattaca, which I recreated here. While such a complex individual can't be summed up by a single quote or image, I think his spirit somewhat mirrored the sentiment of a character with whom he closely identified. We all love and miss you, buddy. I know you've found your place among the stars.

Barbara, Bill, Reed and Kim, we are so very sorry to hear about Scott. We remember Scott as having a good sense of humor. I can recall many car pools from DHS to your house with Greg, Reed and Scott, and there was always laughter coming from the back seat. I wish there was something we could say to ease you pain, but know we are thinking of you and holding you in our hearts.
