On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, Shawn Lawrence, loving son, brother and friend passed away at the age of 21.
Memorial service: 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2021 at White's Azle Chapel.
Shawn was born February 18, 1999 in Fort Worth to Jerry and Angie Lawrence. He loved sports and music and pursued those passions thru High School where he graduated as a member of the National Honor Society. From there he earned a scholarship to the University of North Texas where he was accepted in the Honors College pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He joined the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity in the spring of his Freshman Year.
He was a loving and curious child that was not afraid to try anything. He grew up to be a Young Man that was loved by family and friends for his quick wit, sense of humor and compassionate spirit. He would do anything for anyone you didn't even have to ask. He was highly intelligent but didn't look down on others. He loved aviation and space, he would have been a great astronaut or engineer. He had many friends that were drawn to him by his infectious smile. He had sage advice for his friends when needed. He was looked at as a strong, quiet leader. He was loved and respected by family and friends alike. Anyone he came in contact with, he truly had an impact on their lives.
He is survived by his mother, Angie; father, Jerry; brothers, Justin, Jarrod and Justin K. and sisters, Shanel and Marissa; stepmother, Paula .

Absolutely everything I had heard about Shawn was wonderful. I did not know him personally but felt I did from stories I heard and the love of his family for him through those stories/memories. May God hold you safely in the palm of His hand as you grieve together and share even more memories of the impact Shawn made in the world. My love and prayers are with you now and for the days to come.
