Elroy "Sonny" Reed, 85, passed away at his residence on June 5, 2018.
He was born on July 28, 1932 in Eunice, LA to Elmer and Vera Reed. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father who was generous and had a great sense of humor. He worked for many years as a self-employed mechanic and enjoyed gardening, fishing and watching Louisiana football.
He is survived by his son, David Reed of Houston, TX; daughters, Margaret “Mikki” Rowe of Lake Charles, LA, Donna Foster of Baton Rouge, LA and Karen Reed of Dallas, TX.; brother, Ronnie Reed; grandchildren, Aaron Bordelon, Jennifer Goodlett, Reed Gossett, Samuel Foster, Peri Reed, and Carter Reed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Dell Vigo Reed; parents; and daughter, Jo Ann Reed.
His funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 AM until 1 PM on Sunday.
