Our first trip to Vegas!

I have no idea where Mom got her energy from. She made most of our clothes growing up and was a master seamstress. She made Barbie clothes for Christmas, a TeePee for the yard, and fixed everything mechanical in the house. She was a voracious reader, and made sure we all loved to read as well. She filled out every form I needed to get scholarships and loans to go to college (since that was my only option). She worked full time while were growing up, but she never complained. Even with everything else going on, she was the den mother for my brother's scout group, and she helped with all of our girl scout outings and event raisers. She even baked cookies and made our lunches to take to school.

One of the things I love is that Mom had so much fun in her retirement. She enjoyed going to Vegas (picture attached) and other locations with Daddy and Debra to play the slots. She loved nature, her garden, and zoos. She loved shrimp, grits, cheese biscuits and, just, going out to eat in general. She loved The Lion King, Wicked, and visiting New York. Her face when she saw the Statue of Liberty was priceless. She was the kindest and nicest person. A true role model. I love you Mom. You are in my heart every day.
