William (Bill) Dyke Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of William (Bill) Darius Dyke announces his passing at the age of 86. Bill passed on November 11, 2020 at Western Memorial hospital, Corner Brook.
Bill is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Shirley, of 58 years. He also leaves his children; Dennis (Sabine), Cindy (Roland), Ricky (Doreen), Paula (Bill), Paulette (Andy), Roger (Rosa), Cathy (Dwayne), 14 grand children, 14 great-grand children, and many loving nieces and nephews to mourn. He is predeceased by his parents Aubrey and Susanna Dyke and his siblings Winston, Wilfred, Violet, Jean, Beatrice, Beryl, Alice, and his twin sister Elizabeth.
Bill’s family was his world. He was a very proud, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved unconditionally and worked hard all his life to support his family. His love and kindness will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Deer Lake Manor for all their kindness, care and support.
A viewing will be held at Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake on Friday November 13th, 2020 from 3-5pm. The funeral will be held at Parsons Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Saturday November 14th, 2020. With the Internment to follow at the New Anglican Cemetery in Jackson’s Arm.

Thinking of you all today as you lay your love one to rest. Life will never be the same again but time do heal. I have great memories of your father , my mom and uncle Wilf , whenever they were together there was always a debate and they were all right. Hi Everyone: No words can express how saddened I was to hear that Bill had passed away. Even though we were not related by blood, your family was mine too and I cherish the memories of those times. I will forever remember his kind and loving ways, his laugh, joking and teasing us kids and "Sheryl" and how he always made you feel so loved and at home. He truly was a wonderful person and we are all so blessed to have had him in our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time and I am with you all in spirit through this journey - I wish circumstances were different and I could be with you physically to share the wonderful memories we all have but sadly that can not be.
