Kim & Layne, Beth & John, Billy & Laura, you and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. My grandmother was close friends with Mr. Delma and Mrs. Annie and daddy always considered Mr. Bill his "little brother" and Mrs. Mildred a "big sister." I remember the stories they could tell whenever they got together. One involving Mr. Bill's BB gun that daddy never let him forget. They would laugh and laugh. They had a great time growing up together. Mr. Bill was a fine man and will be missed. I know he, and Mrs. Betty, were very proud of all of you and I hope you find comfort in the memories you all share. My deepest condolences.

The cooperative has lost a good friend in the death of Bill. He was faithful, dedicated and trustworthy. Personally, I enjoyed talking and working with him. Peggy and I enjoyed many meetings and trips with them. We only look at his life with admiration and fondness. Your entire family is in our prayers.

So sad to learn of Bills passing. He was a true Southern gentleman, and someone weve admired our entire lifetimes. Have been a fan of his athletic abilities, especially when he played first base for Brundidges Conecuh River League team in the 1950s.
We honor his military service, and cherish our time together in church, and at Troy University baseball games in recent years.
So glad we had a wonderful phone call a few weeks ago, remembering good times, good friends, and days gone by.
Mr. Bill, may you Rest In Peace as you receive your Heavenly reward.
Prayers for comfort and peace to all the Hixon family. So sorry for your loss.

It is so sad to lose another outstanding person from our county. Mr Bill played an important role for so many years in his community, with the Cattlemen and as a Trustee of South Alabama Electric Cooperative. It was an opportunity and pleasure for us to work and spend time with Mr. Bill and Mrs. Betty for so many years. For the family, please take heart, in knowing that there is a special place for both of them in Heaven.

I will miss Uncle Bill. He was really like an uncle to me. We had some good times serving on the Pike County Cattlemen's Board of Directors. We did not always agree but we always got along. I am glad that he and Mrs. Betty are back together, he was not the same after she left and went to heaven. Rest in peace Uncle Bill, we will see each other again.
