Willie Moore Obituary

Willie Moore, Jr. was born on July 30, 1961 in Cary, Mississippi to Willie Beatrice Moore and Willie Moore, Sr. He was the second oldest child of 9 children born to the union of his parents and shared the same father with 3 other siblings.

Willie was baptized during his teenage years at the Mt. Lula Baptist Church, Rolling Fork, Mississippi.

Willie grew up in Rolling Fork, and graduated from Rolling Fork High School in 1979. Following his graduation, he attended Jackson State University and earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting. During his career, he worked for federal and state governmental agencies as an Auditor before his medical retirement in 2004.

Willie was an avid tennis player and enjoyed participating in local city tournaments. He also played basketball during his high school years. He started working at an early age and was proud to purchase a motorcycle while in high school. Later in his adult years, he enjoyed chess, dominos and we would be remiss if we did not mention that he was a devoted Dallas Cowboys' fan.

Willie liked to debate about subjects of interest on a variety of issues. He often asked questions about the Creator and the Bible. He spent time searching for answers concerning the meaning of life. Willie's personality was so diverse, everyone that knew him will remember the special moments and conversations they shared with him. Willie was preceded in death by: Willie Moore, Sr. (Father), Willie Beatrice Moore (Mother), John F. Moore (Brother), and Aaliyah P. Scott (niece).

Willie leaves to cherish his loving memories: Ollie Mae Hudson (Grandmother), his siblings; Loisteen Jones (Tommy), Diana Moore, Patricia Scott (Reginald), Joseph Moore (Petra), Robert Moore (Gloria), Jacqueline Pope (Gerry), Joddie Moore, Rosie Mae Smith, Steven Thomas and Justin Moore, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
