Wonema Thaxton Obituary
Wonema Mae Thaxton, 88, of Looneyville, began praising Jesus as she entered Heaven, at 11:15 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012, at home, with her loving family by her side.
Born February 14, 1924, in Charleston, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther C. Thaxton and daughter, Beverly Sue Odom.
Wonema is survived by her son, Buddy Gene Thaxton; two daughters, Gloria Jean Malone and Roxie Lena Fiorello; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside service.
Friends may call at the Thaxton home April 18 from 5-7 p.m.
