Fred Robinson
Mr. Fred Robinson joined his Heavenly Father on July 6, 2013. He was born in East Chicago, Indiana, on June 6, 1946, to James and Nora Robinson. He graduated from Washington High School in East Chicago, Indiana, in 1964. With a bachelor and master degrees in education from Western Michigan University, he devoted his life to educating others. For more than 40 years, the loving force that was Fred Robinson served as a trusted teacher, counselor and life coach. He was a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. In 1969, he was united in matrimony to Doris Bradford, the love of his life. In June of 1972, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, the beginning of a wondrous passion for bringing others to Christ. As a resident of Franklin, Tennessee, he continued soldiering for Christ as a member of Born Again Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Fred loved people and had a true talent for identifying untapped potential and converting that potential into a fresh start for so many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nora Robinson, and grandsons, Joshua and Isaiah Senger. His extraordinary legacy is carried on by: his wife of 43 years, Doris Robinson; son, Dennis Robinson (Shelane); daughters, Kim Robinson, Kristin Robinson and Courtney Senger (John); grandchildren, Nykky Robinson, Kourtney Robinson, Landon Allen and Hannah and Faith Senger. He also leaves many family members to celebrate his memory: his brother, Eugene Robinson (Janice); sister, Ardean Robinson; brother, Lawrence Robinson; sisters in love, Loris Bradford, Virginia Bradford and LaVern Hogan; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His infectious laugh, joyful spirit and kind heart will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in East Chicago, Indiana, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. CST. WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 615-794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com

Dear Doris and Robinson Family,
Fred's engaging smile and awesome personality will be greatly missed. I thank God for the privilege of knowing him not only as a fellow member of Faith Temple , but also as someone who impacted my life.
My brothers and I always knew we were in for a great time and we got excited in anticipation when we knew that Fred was going to be our sitter.
I also remember Fred taking the time to be a listening for us that aided us in sustaining hope and better understanding how to endure until change eventually comes. I was not surprised when God's plan for him manifested as ministry.
God bless you and strengthen you while surrounding you with his love and peace is my prayer for you, his family, and his friends. Loving memories of Fred will live in our hearts forever long after we celebrate his extraordinary life.

Very few who have walk this earth can wear the crown that Fred displayed,no his crown wasn't made up of material things but of deeds(love, devolution, kindness, and care) for his fellow man. A true Human Being who shared his life by saying "How are you doing? having you in my life has made me a better person.

Psalm 116:15
Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.
Brother Fred is definitely a saint and what is so very precious about him going home to be with Jesus is that he is finally face to face in heaven with the One whom he has worshiped and loved faithfully in his journey here on earth. I can see Brother Fred lighting up heaven with that grand smile of his as he gaze into the eyes of Jesus! Though he is certainly missed by so many of us here at Born Again, heaven is rejoicing to have him present there. We are very grateful for the many years the Lord and your family shared him with us. Sister Doris and family we love you and are praying for you. Blessings,
Elder Barry & Cathy Towles

Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.
Brother Fred is definitely a saint and what is so precious about him going home the be with Jesus is that he loved the Lord so very much! The Lord shared Brother Fred with us for many years, but now Brother Fred can now see clearly Whom he has worshipped by faith here on earth. I can imagine that big bright smile of his as he gazes into the eye of Jesus lighting up heaven in even a more glorious way. We miss him here at Born Again Church. My prayers and condolences go out to the entire family. I have missed seeing him at church (Born Again) He was an extremely faithful member and I can vividly see him talking to young people in the sanctuary and then he would lead them to the altar for prayer. He had a heart for the young and wanted to see them all be saved. He will surely be missed. We have lost a jewel but God has gained a wonderful and precious soul his work on earth is finished. He will be truly missed.

Fred was a beautiful spirit. He blessed too many peoples lives to count. His smile and laughter reminded us all of the wonderful world we live in. His laughter could be heard down the hall of school as he greeted students and teachers alike. "Happy Day" was his catch phrase as he fist pumped students in the hall. Fred's faith in God never wavered and he praised the Lord to the end.
All who were lucky enough to be in his presence can try to remember the example this fine man set.

Dear Robinson Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy, as my heart goes out to you during this time. In my brief interaction with him, I was captivated by Mr. Robinson's cheerfulness and high-spirited attitude. His joyous demeanor and friendly smile spoke volumes to not only who he was, but Who he represented. I've heard many great things about him, and a particular quote comes to mind, attributed to Mother Teresa: “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” I believe Mr. Robinson's spirit will live on in all those he touched and his memory will not be forgotten.
