Nancy Lou Lehman Battle Creek Nancy Lou Lehman, age 80, of Battle Creek, entered her rest on April 16, 2014.  She was born March 20, 1934 in Battle Creek, the daughter of the late Walter C. and Audrey Ruth (Drake) Roy.  Nancy graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1952 and entered Detroit's Mt Carmel Nursing Program.  She met an Officer and Gentleman on leave from the U.S. Air Force at the Maple Methodist Church and married 1st LT. Herbert W. Lehman in Alaska on November 7, 1953.  They also lived in Arizona and Minnesota, returning to Battle Creek after his discharge from the Service on September 6, 1956.  She lost Herbert in a tragic auto accident later that same month.  Nancy attended Lansing Community College and obtained her LPN,  and  worked for many years in private care and in area nursing homes.  She was an active member of the Urbandale Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she met Ann Hoyt, her "forever friend", and faithful friends Janice and John Segar.  She is survived by her sister, Maryellen Wilkey and a brother, Jack L. (Betty) Roy both of Battle Creek as well as many nieces and nephews.   Nancy's brother  Walter J. Roy entered his rest in 2010.  The family will receive friends at 11:00 AM Monday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd.  Funeral services will be held 12:00  noon, Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Urbandale Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Nancy will rest with her husband at Newton Cemetery until Jesus returns for His own (1st Corinthians 15: 22-23).  Visit Nancy's webpage at www.bachmanhebble.com Read Obituary
