Clark Sullivan, 88, of Largo, FL, passed away on June 6, 2013. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Katheryne (Katie) Sullivan, and a daughter, Louise K. Sullivan. Clark is survived by a son, Ralph C Sullivan of Boston, a daughter, Lyle Ann Sullivan of Wilmington, NC, and another son, Stephen B. Z. Sullivan, of Minneapolis. He was affectionately known to his grandchildren as "PawPaw". He had a number of nieces and nephews, including Richard A. Sullivan of Chicago, and Bryce F. Sullivan of Nashville, TN.
Clark joined the Navy in 1943 and served as a submariner during WWII
. Clark and Katie met in San Francisco, where they were married in 1946. He earned a BS from Northwestern University in 1948, before settling down in Battle Creek. He was a Vice President of Sullivan Milk Products. Clark was later a life insurance agent and an executive at the Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce. He was active in community affairs, including the Boy Scouts, Kiwanis, and St Thomas Episcopal Church. Over the course of more than thirty years, Clark helped hundreds of others work their way thru the Twelve Steps of AA.
A memorial service will be held at 2p.m. on June 22, 2013 at the Serenity Club of Clearwater, FL.
