Betty also served as a past member of the Business Professional Women's Club, and for six years as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Abscota Extension. She was active in the Lakeview PTA and a group leader in the Campfire and Cub Scouts' organizations.
Betty and Gordon enjoyed playing cards and bingo, listening to music, dining out and going on group tours during their retirement years. Betty also enjoyed her serving of ice cream every day.
