Lynne Ann Whitener, age 59,  passed away peacefully on June 7, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.  Loving wife of Dennis Whitener.  Dearest mother of Lyndsey Walsh (Christopher Walsh), Joseph Koch and Braxton Koch and step-mother of Lyndsey and Kyle Whitener.  Sister to the late Philip Ragatz II, Beckee Simkins, John Ragatz and Maxine Smith.  Adoring grandmother to Maxwell, Faith, Lily, Davon, and Hannah.  Caring aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother Philip I and Esther Ragatz.  Lynne was loving and accepting - a pure joy to all whose lives she touched.  She had a deep faith in God and always put family first.  She fostered, nurtured and cared for everyone she loved.  She will be missed more than words can say.  She also took great pride in her career as a Treatment Coordinator in the field of orthodontics, where she helped to give thousands beautiful smiles.  Lynne grew up in Waterford, MI where she graduated from Kettering High School and was a long-time resident of Ortonville, MI. 

Memorial services for Lynne will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Delton, MI on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 7pm and at Ortonville United Methodist Church in Ortonville, MI on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7pm.  Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan www.hospiceswmi.org  Please visit www.williamsgoresfuneral.com to  send condolence messages to Lynne's family.
