Raymond L. Robinson


Raymond L. Robinson, 91, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek.

He was born September 30, 1922 in Grand Rapids the son of Floyd L. and Frances E. (Wilcox) Robinson.

Raymond proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps stationed in the Pacific Theater during World War II where he received the Purple Heart.  He enjoyed barbershop singing, music and photography.

Raymond is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Roy) Hillman of Battle Creek; two grandson, Christopher Hillman of Battle Creek and James Hillman of Augusta; sister, Donna Livengood of Battle Creek; brother, Roland Robinson of Texas and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Llewelyn and Duane Robinson

A Committal Service with full military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta.

Memorial contributions may go to the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
