Ruth G. Beaty

Ruth G. Beaty Springfield Ruth G. Beaty 99, most affectionately known as Gogi, went home to be with The Lord December 7, 2012. Ruth was born December 4, 1913 in Dudley, Mo., the daughter of Perry Zuck and Mamie (Zoll) Zuck. She married Gradis Beaty in 1933, which ended in divorce after 23 years. Ruth taught school at a one room schoolhouse in Missouri before moving to Michigan during WW11. Ruth was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Battle Creek, where she volunteered for many years. She worked at Eaton Corp, Kellogg Co., Battle Creek Box Co., and for 25 years at Trans-America Ins. before retiring. She enjoyed reading, writing, studying bible prophecy, traveling, and attending her great grandchildren's sporting events. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, son Aaron Beaty, daughter Barbara Deiro, brothers Owen Zuck, Robert Zuck, Albert Zuck, and Donald Zuck, and grandson Todd Beaty. Surviving are son Harley Beaty of West Plaines, MO., brother Rolla Zuck 107 years of age of Waterford, Mi. grandchildren Ken (Linda) Babbitt, Daniel Babbitt, Kevin Beaty, and Deborah Beaty all of Battle Creek, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons, and special niece Wilma Dale Johnson of Waterford, Mi. The funeral will be held at Royal Funeral Home, 281 Upton Ave. (at Dickman Rd.) Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at 2:00p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. preceding the funeral service. Rev. Brian Spencer will be officiating. Donations may be given to Centra Care 200 West Michigan Ave. Battle Creek, MI 49017.
