Sharon L. Yates Battle Creek Sharon L. Yates, 61, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 at home. She was born November 8, 1949 in Battle Creek the daughter of George and Ellen Jane (Schuch) Palmer. She married Thomas Yates on April 29, 1983 in Battle Creek and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2006. Sharon was a self-employed housekeeper. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, cross-stitching and going up north with her friends. Sharon had done a lot with her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved brother, Thomas (Anita) Palmer of Lansing; aunt, Vera Baylis, cousin, Leroy, nieces and nephews, Sabrina Cramer, Daniel Palmer, Tony Palmer and extended family, Sandra, Marco, Christina and Genna Riste. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Rev.
