Larry R. Buskirk, 67, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born on December 28, 1945 to Raymond and Betty (Bryant) Buskirk in Marshall. He attended Bellevue schools and graduated with the Class of 1965. He served with the Navy and was in operations from 1965-1969 on an aircraft carrier during Vietnam where he deciphered codes.
He married Margaret Pulford in Hazel Park, Michigan on September 26, 1981.
Larry was a machinist and a truck driver for 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He just shot a deer 10 days before he passed after not being able to go hunting for the past 5 years! After retiring in 2004 from AST Battle Creek Specialty Tool he started to dabble in woodworking. Larry was also a family man and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Scott (Erica) Buskirk of Bellevue, Mike (Crystal) Florence of Battle Creek, and Rob Florence of Bithlo, Florida; grandchildren, Alexandra, Haleigh, Aaron, Joey, Nick, and Erick; brother in laws, Dave Pulford, George (Joan ) Pulford, and Dan (Vicky) Pulford; sister in law, Rose (Gary) Stack; and several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his close friend, Fred Tipton and his parents.
