Alfred "Jack" Winter Battle Creek Alfred "Jack" Winter, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Country Pines Care Home in Albion. He was born January 2, 1926 to Albert and Edna (Raymond) Winter in Albion, MI. He married Sarah Frances Patterson November 24, 1944 in Parma, MI. He retired as a Business Agent for Local Union #259 after 30 years of service. He also, was a past Vice President of AFL-CIO, He loved to play golf, cars, enjoyed painting houses, and auctioneering cakes for the Cub Scouts. He is survived by two sons, Norman (Janice) Winter of Ceresco and Jack (Cathy) Winter of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah, parents; two sister, Marilyn Short and Bernadine Baum; three brothers Harold, Raymond, and Billie. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, January 23, 20015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Springport Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Calvary Apostolic Church, 9009 McCain Rd., Parma, MI, with Major Eugene Anderson, Salvation Army Minister officiating.
