Barbara Ann Chapin Lakeland, FL Barbara Ann Chapin, 75, died suddenly Wednesday morning, January 30, 2013 at her residence. She was born April 7, 1937 in Madison, Wisconsin to the late Gilbert and Eleanor (Dressel) Montay. Barbara was raised in Battle Creek where she graduated from Lakeview High School in 1955. She worked for Findley Adhesives for over 20 years where she retired as Plant Manager. Upon retirement she moved to Lakeland, Florida which she has called home the past 15 years. In addition to enjoying her family, she had a passion for her friends, golf, reading, sewing, gardening and anything Hawaiian. Barbara is survived by her children, Stephen Shelton of Lakeland, FL, April Shelton of Battle Creek, Elizabeth Black of East Taunton, MA, Norman Chapin of Battle Creek; her brother Ronald Montay of Vulcan, MI; nine grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. A private family service will be held in Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis National Research Foundation.
