Betty Joan Miller Obituary
Betty Joan Miller Mrs. Betty Joan (née Case) Miller of Grandville, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 12, 2014, following surgery. Betty was born in Battle Creek, Michigan and was adopted by Charles and Cora Case and had a step-sister, Dorothy Hawkins-Holt. During WWII, Betty played the piano and sang for the service members at Fort Custer in Augusta, Michigan. Betty was married to Robert "Bob" Miller from 1946 until his death in 2000. Following their retirement from the Kellogg Company, she and Bob loved to travel. For several years, they were seasonal campers at Tri-Lake Trails Campground in Marshall, Michigan. Betty also enjoyed playing cards with her in-laws and friends. She is survived by her loving children, JoAnn (Dick) Counts, Robert Miller, and Cyndie Miller; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. A private service will be held for Betty at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to the North East Neighborhood Food Pantry, 342 Capital Avenue NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
