Bobbie Marie Adams


Bobbie Marie Adams, age 77, of Albion, passed onto heaven November 27, 2014.

She was born March 6, 1937 in Tram, Kentucky to Lillie Myrtle Damron.

In the early 50's her parents Lillie and Granis Blair came to Albion.  Bobbie spent her childhood attending Snyder and Wine schools and helping at home with her younger siblings.  On April 16, 1955, Bobbie married James Shaffer and in 1967 received Scott as their son.  She worked at the County Farm and at Rodgers Café during this marriage. This marriage ended in divorce.  On June 16, 1973 she married Joe Adams and was married for 27 years before Joe passed away on February 1, 2001. 

Bobbie remained employed at the 115 Truck Stop for 18 years when she retired in 2005.

She enjoyed playing bunco, yahtzee, sequence, euchre, bingo and singing karaoke at the Maple Grove Sr. Apts. in Albion.

Bobbie is survived by a son- Scott (Debra) Shaffer, their sons, Josh (Cece) of Kimberling, MO, Ryan and Jesse of Homer; step-daughter- Jule Sadger of Bucannon, their children, Jordana (James) Heath of North Carolina, Ariel (Ion) Martin of Niles and Christopher Sadger of Arlington, TX; great-grandchildren, JJ and Jameson Heath and Nicole Shaffer; sisters- Loretta Neal of Marshall, Brenda (Slim) Tackett of Martin, TN; brother- Billy Blair of Concord; many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, brothers Doug, Darrell and sisters Virginia and Lillie.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224.  Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Pastor  Earl Martin officiating.  Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Albion.
