Carl E. Nearnberg

Carl E. Nearnberg Albion Carl E. Nearnberg, age 84, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 surrounded by his loving wife and family at his home. He was born September 2, 1926 to Harry and Mabel (Cuatt) Nearnberg. He graduated from Albion High School in 1944 and went to an Agricultural short course at Michigan State University. On October 6, 1951 he married Lillian Chmielewski his loving wife of 59 years. He was a self employed farmer during his life time. He was a member of the Progressive Farmers, Albion Elk's Lodge #1798, Marshall Moose, Farm Bureau and the Michigan Cattleman's Association. He is survived by, wife Lillian Nearnberg of Albion; sons, Duane (Jane) Nearnberg of Albion, David (Jenny) Nearnberg of Albion, Dwight (Linda) Nearnberg of Albion; daughter Diane (Bruce) Colvin of Hastings, granddaughter, Julie Nearnberg of Charlotte; some step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marguerite Taylor. He enjoyed his wife and family and dancing. Funeral service will be Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion with Rev. Jeremy Williams officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, October 24, 2010 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
