David Baker Obituary

David E. Baker Battle Creek David E. Baker, 36, of Battle Creek passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 2, 2010. He was born in Battle Creek on July 25, 1974 the son of Charles P. and Christina L. (Dowsett) Baker. David worked for many years as an over-the-road truck driver and was currently a good and dedicated student at Davenport University. David is survived by his 3 wonderful sons whom he loved so much and of whom he was so proud of, Christopher David Baker, Nicholas Edward Baker and Phillip Gray Baker; his fiancée, Susan Ayers; his father, Charles (Julia) Baker; 2 sisters, Grace E. Foxworthy and Laura E. Ellison; 3 nieces; a nephew; and special friends, Miriam Wendt and Mary and Ernie Ruthruff. He was preceded in death by his mother, Christina L. Baker and grandparents, Marguerite and Phillip Shook and Edward J. and Olga Dowsett. David was an intelligent and sensitive man with a big heart and was truly an inspiration to his kids. He had a fine dry sense of humor, loved to entertain, was a great cook and enjoyed watching sports and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. David had a passion for music, was a huge fan of Motley Crue and inspired his children to adopt his love of music. He enjoyed caring for animals, reading, history, movies and was a very good writer. Funeral services to celebrate David's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Sokukoji Temple, 33 Anderson Ct., Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for his children is being established in memory of David. Please make checks payable to Charles P. Baker. My most vivid childhood memories involve Dave, my first 3D movie, the first time
I heard Motley Crue, and numerous trips to the principals office! Two second
graders destined to cause trouble. Dave, its been a while but soon enough we'll
be raising hell like old times! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your

I'm sorry Dave that we had so many up's and down's but I know that you knew in your heart that you were Loved by the kid's and I. You will be missed more then you will ever know, We shared so many crazy memories and I will share almost all of them with our kid's and I will never let your memory fade in there mind.
