Emma Audean (Tooker) Swinehart

Emma Audean (Tooker)  Swinehart, born the twelfth of 12 children to Berl E and Emma A. (Tunison) Tooker December 8, 1922, left this earth to be with her Lord on June 24, 2016

In 1942 she was married to Lawrence Swinehart. She was a member of Life In Christ Ministries for many years and at different times she worked for several employers in the area including Kellogg's, Lakeview General Hospital, and Smith's Flower Shop.  Among her favorite activities reading, gardening, going mushroom hunting, and taking walks on the farm would be at the top. She also especially loved her cats.

She was preceded in death in 2006 by her husband of 64 years, parents; five brothers: Lloyd, Paul, Everett, Eldon, and Walter Tooker; also six sisters: Laurel and Ilah Belle Tooker, Leola Coller, Lavinia Foster, Marcia Ward, and Marie Shaw.

She is survived by her three children, Evangeline (Jerry) Blake of Vicksburg, Lawrence Jr. (Kanda) Swinehart of Plainwell, and Deborah Newburry of Plainwell; a very special grandson, Troy (Lynne) Blake of Athens, who has been there every step of the way for her and six other grandchildren; plus nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Tuesday 6/28 from 10 to 11 with a funeral service immediately following officiated by Pastor Dan Martineau  of Life In Christ Ministries.

Interment will take place in the Mather-Voyce Cemetery.
