Gordon Thompson Obituary

Gordon K. Thompson Union City Gordon K. Thompson age 92 of Union City, passed away, Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Gordon Graduated from Bellevue High School with the class of 1937. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945. Gordon worked for the Battle Creek Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in l970. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Thompson of Union City; son, Kenneth (Linda) Thompson of East LeRoy; and daughter, Marcia (Mike) Ringer of Brighton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ivah (Manning) Thompson; one son, Kevin Thompson; and one brother, William Earl Thompson. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Colon.
