Grace Guarglia Obituary

Grace M. Guarglia Battle Creek Grace M. Guarglia, 87, and formerly of Hornell, NY, died at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Care Residence with her daughter at her side on Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Grace was born July 4, 1923 in Hornell, New York to Joseph and Adeline (Cilano) Carbone. Most of her life, Grace lived in Hornell, where she grew up, married and raised her family. She has resided in Battle Creek since 2001. Surviving are her daughter, Frances M. Mank of Battle Creek; two grandsons, Bob Mank of Novi and Nick Mank, in South Carolina; a brother, Nicholas Carbone; many old friends in Hornell and many new friends in Battle Creek. Grace was preceded in death by two husbands, Paul Gerace in 1951 and Nicholas R. Guarglia in 1975; and by two brothers. Grace was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Grace will be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hornell, NY. Those wishing to remember Grace are encouraged to make memorial contributions to the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. Arrangements are by Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
