Harold LaVerne Miller, 83, of Fulton, died Friday, October 10, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born September 16, 1931 in Athens to Lyle E. and Ruth I. (Chapman) Miller.  Harold graduated from Athens High School in 1951.  He married Carol L. Oswalt on February 1, 1951, she survives.

Harold was a lifetime farmer and was also employed by the Kellogg Company for 37 years retiring in 1989 from the carton and container division.  He was a member of the Kellogg 25 year Club and enjoyed attending all his children's and grandchildren's sporting events.  He especially enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, mushrooming and hunting.  He also enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.

Surviving are wife Carol; son, Rod (Jody) Miller of Fulton; daughters, Robin Hunter and Lori (Frank) Willi of Battle Creek, Mary (Mike) Stratton of Fulton and Amy (Mike) VanHouten of East Leroy; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Vicki Miller and granddaughter, Ashley Miller.

Family will receive friends at Shaw Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014.  Funeral, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15 at the funeral home, Rev. David Mackluso, officiating.  Interment in North Fulton Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Wakeshma Community Church or Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
