Howard Watson, 78, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Bronson At Home Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. He was born August 3, 1937 in Camden, Arkansas the son of Daniel and Aplean (Coleman Davis) Watson. Howard worked for Brooks Factory in Allegan as a Grinder for 25 years. He received his Certificate of License and was solemnly and publicly set apart and ordained to the work of The Gospel Ministry by authority and order of the Now Faith Full Gospel Deliverance Ministry Church, 431 Hamblin Ave, Battle Creek, Michigan on the 21st day of November 1996.  Howard successfully completed the prescribed number of hours in the Correctional Chaplaincy Course on the 29th day of August 1998.  He enjoyed fishing, reading his bible and taking walks along the Battle Creek Linear Park trails. 

He is survived by his children, Daniel Watson, Faye Watson, and Warnette (Sidney) Watson-Woods; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Lee (Hattie) Watson of Flint, Michigan, Herman Watson of Camden, Arkansas, and Kenny (Kimberly) Watson of Monroe, Louisiana. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James S. Watson Sr., Dan Watson Jr., Freddie Watson and John L. Watson, Jr.; sisters, Precious Haley, Odie Mae Burton, Marilyn Norwood and Dolly Davis.

Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Saturday from 12:00-1:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jean Smith of Calvary Grace Faith Temple officiating. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service (269)  965-5145  www.bachmanhebble.com
