Jacqueline M. Waterman
Battle Creek
Jacqueline M. Waterman, age 85, went to be face to face with our Lord, Saturday March 28, 2015 at Bronson Battle Creek. Jackie was born July 1, 1929 in Battle Creek, to LeRoy and Beatrice (Robinson) Pearson. She graduated from Lakeview High School in 1947 and married Donald D. Waterman on March 4, 1950. Jackie had been employed as a cook for the Harper Creek School System and the Calhoun County Juvenile Home, where she retired. Jackie was a member of the Bedford Chapter #471 Order of the Eastern Star and Berachah Church. She enjoyed reading, collecting antiques, dolls, and quilts. Jackie was a low handicap golfer and had two holes in one, to her record. Jackie's favorite activity was spending time with her friends and especially her family and grandchildren. Jackie lived her life with great determination and purpose.
She is survived by her sons, Mark and Barbara Waterman, Tim and Connie Waterman, both of Battle Creek and Dewey and Robin Waterman of East Leroy, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Donald D. Waterman in 2014, a sister Leatrice Martin, and a brother, Owen Pearson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at 2:30 PM at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. A memorial service will be held at 3:30PM Wednesday at the funeral home. So sad to hear Mrs. Waterman's passing. It's been over 40 years since seeing her but I remember how sweet a lady. Always pleasant and smiling.

We first met Jackie and Dewey when we started spending winters in Florida at Hidden Golf. We enjoyed golfing with them and they became good friends. They were great people and will be missed.
