Leslie Ann Matuschka, 35, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed unexpectedly on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on December 26, 1978, the daughter of Melvin Leslie Matuschka and Peggy Jeanne (Hoskins) Matuschka.

Leslie attended Athens Schools and then graduated from Lakeview High Schools in 1997. She attended KCC and then received her Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Michigan State University in 2001. She was employed at Henkel Chrysler Jeep as the Human Resources Manager and Bookkeeper at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service.

Leslie is survived by her Parents; her Sister: Laurel (Tom) Henkel of Battle Creek, MI; Nephews: Logan, Grant and Cole Henkel; Special Friend: Tim Wiseley of Augusta, MI; Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Sisters: Gina Matuschka and an Infant Sister; Grandparents: Bob and Esther Matuschka and Lyle and Phyllis Hoskins.

Leslie was an avid pool player, an avid Michigan State fan and Detroit Tigers fan. She loved traveling with her family.

She looked forward to the family annual trip to Mackinac Island. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and enjoyed Karaoke singing. She was a member of the Athens VFW Mecwarf Post #5319 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Trustee, Conductress and Youth Chair Person.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Thursday December 18, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Friday, December 19, 2014, 10:30 am with Pastor Jeffery Davis of Overflow Church officiating. Interment will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials tributes may be made to: Shriner's Crippled Children's Fund or Athens VFW Mecwarf Post #5319 Ladies Auxiliary.
